Alpharocker Online is a website, found at www.alpharocker.com. Which is a very good address for a website called Alpharocker Online. If you love Alpharocker Online it will always come back to you. Alpharocker Online is a very good place for hamburgers. But, it is also a dangerous place.
A dangerous metaphysical place, that is. Anyway, Alpharocker Online is a very difficult thing to define, and this is neither the time nor the place to attempt to do so. Instead, here are some things "About AO".
1) The most frequent comment, recieved in emails at Alpharocker Online goes something like this: "I'm so glad Alpharocker went online." and its true, you are glad.
2) Alpharocker Online is still under development, all the time.
3) Plans for Alpharocker Podcasts are currently in the works.
4) Alpharocker Online is tested against all the latest browsers (LIE!!!) but, Alpharocker Online works best with Mozilla Firefox V1.0 or greater, if you don't know what this means, that's okay, neither does anyone else. If you use a program like Internet Explorer or AOL, and you notice any problems with AO. Let me know here: cjmemay@gmail.com
5) All the content at Alpharocker Online is currently available under a Creative Commons license (If you don't know what that means, that's okay, neither does anyone else), the exact parameters of which will be released soon enough. Soon enough.
6) Alpharocker Online was designed to XHTML1.1 Strict standards, however, due to a bug in the way Internet Explorer (the most popular browser in the world) processes javascript, some slight changes had to be made. By the way, IE7 has not corrected the problem.
7) Some of the "old site" features will be archived on this site, in the months to come.
8) The interface you see now is a transitional layout, it won't be here very long, supposedly.
9) Currently, Alpharocker Online is developing or planning to provide access to all of the following:
- A brand new original animated mini-series
- New features, including AOVideo
- New music
- New flash cartoons
There is also discussion of an audio play, and, as always, Podcasts are right around the corner.
10) Alpharocker Online is an outlet and a portal, among other things. A significant aspect of its function is that of entertainment, but just as much, if not moreso, as a tool. To allow a venue for the artists, writers and everyone else involved in Alpharocker Online a means of sharing a little bit of what they do, with anyone who is willing to watch, look, and/or listen.
